Title: Software/Application Developer CW/022610
Location: El Segundo, CA
Duration: 5 months
Pay Rate: $40 - $60/hr.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship required.
Support the development and ongoing maturation of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and artifacts to support a growing family of Web-based business applications. Work with staff teams to design and develop policies, plans, metrics, processes, artifact templates, infrastructure plans, styles and design patterns, reusable software components, and training modules across the software lifecycle, from requirements through maintenance and retirement.
Educate and mentor staff member on software engineering best practices. Help to develop the above elements incrementally, with the eventual goal of implementing these best practices.
Guide technical development toward a product-family/product line architecture of Web based business applications.
Qualifications:
1. Five or more years experience in software engineering; experience in lifecycle development, including QA and CM preferred.
2. Must have Facility and familiarity with a variety of software development processes, including iterative processes, Rational Unified Process, and agile processes.
3. Must have experiences where process improvements led to observable and measurable outcome improvements is desirable.
4. Must have a great track record of educational and mentor experience is extremely important. background is software architecture, object-oriented design and architecture-based development a plus.
5. Must have a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Informatics preferred. MS with Software Engineering or similar focus a big plus.
6. It is not just a developer who has experience with implementing software processes. Must have all of the following Development technologies: web-based Java technologies. Related technologies include: Java, JavaScript, AJAX, mySQL, Apache Tomcat and the Spring framework.
COMPENSATION/COMMENTS:
$40 - $60 /hr - Optional APR Medical/Dental Benefits package, 401k plan, etc. - benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the following month of the start date).
If an offer is made, a 7 year criminal background check and drug screening will be conducted. Candidate must be able pass both screenings to be hired.
